XviD4PSP

Several days ago, I received ten DVDs from my old friend. They are new Box Office movies. I don’t have much time to watch them, then I tried to copy them into my iPhone, hoping I can watch them mobile :D . But almost all mp4 converter do not include the subtitle to the result. Here’s the answer: forum.videohelp.com.

Required programs: Microsoft Dot Net Framework 3.0, XviD4PSP, VSRip (VobSub Subtitle Ripper).

To extract the subtitle file from DVD:

  • Open VSRip
  • Load IFO file (usually named VTS_01_0.IFO)
  • Save to your destination directory
  • Next, on language column, choose your language, next and you’ll get your subtitle file (.idx file)

Next step is convert your DVD movie:

  • Open XviD4PSP
  • Load your DVD files, click open DVD, choose your VIDEO_TS folder
  • Choose your output format to MP4 iPod/iPhone
  • Choose your output quality, best quality: X264 HQ Ultra
  • Load your subtitle (.idx file) from subtitle menu, add subtitle
  • Encode! Or you can click enqueue it before, to setup another project

Downloading Past Purchases – iTunes

Several weeks ago, I reinstalled my PC. I’ve made some mistakes in saving my data on my laptop and my iPhone. I shall deauthorized the PC and make a little backup first for my downloaded and purchased apps. Yesterday, after I sync my device and iTunes, I didn’t see all my apps there, it just 30, it should be more than 50. I didn’t understand how could this happen. Google is always be the answer, and I found this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

The great iTunes System stored all our activities, including download, purchase, or updating data. So, when we lost our apps on our device, iTunes will allows us to download them again for free. We don’t need to repurchase them. This really helps. Thank you Apple!

Phone and Health

Several studies have been conducted to try to provide answers. You’ve probably heard that it was inadvisable to stay close to a microwave oven on. Indeed, for cooking, microwave ovens emit a frequency of 2450 MHz. This has the effect of exciting the water molecules. The friction between these molecules, so they release heat, which allows cooking. In an oven with no anomaly, the waves are like in a Faraday cage. But the wavelength of our cell phones is similar to that of microwave ovens. We can therefore legitimately wonder about the effects they can cause our body: The human body contains 60% water!

The heating effect, found in a person who uses his mobile for 20 minutes, is an increase of 1 ° C tissue temperature of the head in contact with the laptop. This increase can be felt up to 10 cm inward from the head, the consequences are a temperature difference of both sides of the brain. but the effects involved in this thermal imbalance are not yet known …

It will also say that mobile phones could cause headaches, when is it? Some people complain of headaches after prolonged use of mobile. A study on rats suggests the hypothesis that radiation from a phone could alter the permeability of the vessels of the brain. This, in humans suffering from chronic migraine, would increase in frequency or intensity of pain.

Another effect, exposure to radio frequencies emitted by mobile phones. They could be dangerous for users of metal-rimmed glasses or wearing earrings. Again nothing has been proven scientifically. Some studies seek to prove that there is no risk of cancer linked to mobile. In contrast, a much more recent UK study shows that people who regularly use their phones for ten years would have 40% additional risk of developing tumors of the nervous system.

If the device is a transmitter it is also a wave receiver. He received via antennas placed on the roofs of buildings or water towers. This can cause malfunctions of electronic equipment. Cases of medical equipment have been collected disturbed.

We see that this question does not cut answer. If you have concerns, use your cell phone with a handsfree kit. You can always follow these tips without falling into the mobile phone phobia.
